Research the Cure – EBSkinEdit

We were delighted to welcome Prof Fernando Larcher as he joined Sharmila earlier this month to talk about EBSkinEdit, a translational research project towards a genome editing-based treatment for EB.

Fernando is a Principal Investigator in the Epithelial Biomedicine Division at the Biomedical Innovation Department of the public research institute CIEMAT and Associate professor of Biochemistry at the Department of Bioengineering of University Carlos III of Madrid. His research focuses on various aspects of skin regenerative medicine, including cell and gene therapy for rare skin diseases.
