BSGCT Annual Conference 2023

Cure EB founder Sharmila Collins was delighted to be asked to present at the British Society of Gene and Cell Therapy annual conference last week.

Speaking as a patient representative, Sharmila spoke about her daughter Sohana and the decision to set up Cure EB (formerly the Sohana Research Fund) 12 years ago to provide a dedicated source of funding for research into the treatment and cure of all types of EB. As well as a heartfelt message about the impact of EB, she outlined some of the cutting edge research projects the charity funds.
