Bobby studied Medicine, followed by Surgery, at Kings College London. He joined GOSH in 1992 as junior doctor and within a year started PhD at the UCL Institute of Child Health, which looked at gene therapy in the laboratory. He is an expert in paediatrics and immunology at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) and the UCL Institute of Child Health. He spends 40 per cent of his time seeing patients in the hospital and 60 per cent in the laboratory developing new gene therapy treatments for complex diseases of the immune system.
