
Dr Araksya Izmiryan
Dr Izmiryan is a researcher at the Imagine Institute in Paris with over a decade of experience in gene and cell therapy, specializing in genome editing strategies for rare genetic skin disorders. She holds a Ph.D. in developmental biology from Denis-Diderot University, Paris in 2007 and completed post-doctoral fellowships at Necker Hospital, Paris, where she pioneered Meganuclease-based gene correction strategies, leading to a patent.
Her research focuses on clinical translation of genome editing strategies for recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (RDEB).
