Dr Ciro Chiappini joins us for our next Research the Cure webinar to talk about using nanoneedles to deliver treatments in EB.
Ciro was one of the lead researchers on the Cure EB funded Nanocol project, which looked at improving RDEB wound healing through the use of bandages with nanoneedles to insert a functional version of the Collagen VII gene directly inside the skin cells.

Ciro is a Senior Lecturer in Nanomaterials and Biointerfaces at King’s College London and one of the lead researchers on the Nanocol project. His research blends nanotechnology, bioengineering and cell biology to develop new solutions for advanced therapies.
