Sam is an independent consultant with over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device sectors, covering roles in product development, project management, clinical development, regulatory affairs and business operations.

He has held senior leadership and executive positions within Chiron Biopharmaceuticals (Novartis), Celtic Pharma, Ascension Healthcare and QBiotics Group where he was Chief New Product Development Officer until 2024.

Sam has wide therapy area expertise that includes dermatology, wound healing, osteoarthritis, haematology, immunology, analgesia and infectious diseases. He has a Ph.D. in surface chemistry and a first degree in engineering, both from Imperial College London.
