Dr. Ganna (Anya) Bilousova (Ph.D.) is an Associate Professor of Dermatology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus (UCAMC), USA. She received her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Human Physiology in 2001 at Donetsk National University, Ukraine, and her Doctor’s degree (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry in 2007 at the University of Colorado, USA. Research in her laboratory is focused on studying skin and connective tissue diseases, such as Epidermolysis Bullosa and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and developing therapeutic approaches for these conditions. Dr. Bilousova also directs the Stem Cell Biobank and Disease Modeling Core at the University of Colorado and oversees the generation and genetic engineering of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) for the research community. Dr. Bilousova collaborates with Dr. Dennis Roop (Ph.D., Professor of Dermatology, UCAMC), Dr. Igor Kogut (Ph.D., Associate Professor of Dermatology , UCAMC) and Dr. Anna Bruckner (MD, Professor of Dermatology, UCAMC) in developing an iPSC-based therapy for skin diseases.
